There was an open house exhibition in my college recently. It was a very good one, for me at least. I too did a project; it was on mathematics, “A SHADOW SHOW”. Actually there is nothing in my project to say about. I t was a silly thing, just analyzing shadow of geometrical shapes and here comes my new theory- “ All geometrical shapes not only make its own shadow it has the ability to show the shadow of some other specific geometrical shapes also”. LOL! Everyone know this thing! Many of my friends teased me a lot. But it was ok for me! I do have a hard skin!! I just wanted to get a chance to do some project and get a chance to explain to about it to about 500 people came through 3 days of exhibition; this included small school kids, different college students, teachers, and industrial heads! What I was focusing was just make my view as clear as possible; I was not even worried about how much value has the theory that I am saying having any scope neither in the world nor in the exhibition. I was pleased by some comments I got- I got no good comments for my project but almost everyone listened to me told ‘My explanation was very good’. After all I got some positive feedback for time I spend there standing for whole three days!

Know I made time to see what all others have invented! Ah! I was happy! I didn’t saw a single new project! All been copied from some others. But everyone had some theory for them, the best I saw were some in computer science department they created some good software’s, of cause they are studying that language!

In colleges, with this much low time and budget its difficult to come up with some brilliants unlike you have high class facilities and innovative environment. Leave that, this is India! There is excuse for everything!

For this article I just want to say ‘How easy it is to come up with a new idea! But if and only if you are allowed to! There should be reason for you to find it, there should be enough support and encouragement to pull it off. For this project I think most of them were doing it for mere certificate that help for Campus selection! Ya! I too did it for the certificate!

This time the Little master again came up with a brilliant century and this time he had immense support from The Wall, Dravid himself with yet another century to his name! But in the mist of Indian legends performing we should never forget to appreciate the good work performance by Bangladesh players from captain to last T. Iqbal who made a fantastic century.

The out come of series is yet to come.I will give a better report when it ends.

Teaching in my view

We all are students of life, a course which has no end. but there will be exams almost each day, to make you learn more. There is a saying that experience is the best teacher. ok! this all is just conceptional stuff.

I want to talk about the teaching in schools and college. I am a college student, now doing Bachelor of Engineering, last day in my ‘Technical English class room my teacher suddenly from nowhere spotted a naughty face and started to advise him, then slowly it become universal, applicable to everyone. She is very good in what she does, i liked her words very much, hence more interested to listen to them. She pointed out almost every point for under-performance, she read our minds well enough, after all she too have passed our age!.. She talked about laziness lack of interest and concentration..all the bad habits and all.. But the moment what i was waiting for never came, the magic words “The way to which to do things by which we can correct our mistake and be perfect. To make learning as interesting as watching world cup final or watching climax scene of a romantic movie.

i remember teachers advising me to give interest in studies, enjoy studying. but the thing troubling me is that none told me the way to do it. i have seen students stick to books eating each letters and vomiting them in the answer papers. Do they enjoy what they are doing? After all they get better marks than me!!!The students like me the one who are always in the average, never any genius nor extraordinarily brilliant. For me studying is some listening in the class room and last night studies for exam.Of cause there are this worst ones. The pupil who don’t care about exams at all, and just simply fail, ha! i have been there too. The thing i want say here is, how much you study , what ever be your level, i have never heard any student saying, ” I LOVE TO STUDY” or “IT RELAXES MY MIND WHILE I STUDY”, why? why not?

What i saw in last ‘Big exam’ was just ‘fear. The fear in the eyes of students. Some say about Exam fears. It is not just that. It may seem silly thing, but the whole educational system around me is being ruled by it. One have to fear about his result, he have to fear about expectations on him by his parents, teachers, even society,  fear about how the question paper will be, fear about how well he\ she will do the exam, fear about whether he we will be able to recall each piece of crap in the exam hall! the fear about how will this result effect his future and fortune. So much to fear about and because of this fear they study…

Once upon a time there was a system in our country, the student will go a ‘Guru’ who will be a living in a jungle or so. There the kid will grow up under that guru, who would teach him all the subject, more than that the kid will grow up to an individual of his own. There will be nothing to influence him. I am not saying that , that system has all the benefits, but it have the solution for one of the major problems in our educational world. The parents or relatives are choosing the career for the kid, how he has to grow up, how he has to lead his life. It is like many things in our country” Its the whole system that has to change”. But it won’t! More you exposed to a problem better you become. It is really great meaningful sentence and it also depends up on how you implement it. here what happens in schools is they give more test for students, more exams, more work load, to make him thorough in the subject. In our educational the practical classes starts about in the eighth standard and about finishing he would get maximum 100 hour of practical class. Just think of a kid starting to learn how to ride a bicycle . The dad comes and take a class about the working of cycle ,the force, the torque velocity, acceleration, friction, braking all the components, and with the help of side wheels and hand of dad on the cycle kid take a couple of round in backyard. Next day father gives him a helmet and removes the side wheels( support wheels) and ask him to have joy round in public road..how will he feel…its simple this is how most of the graduates feeling! If we take only the life in class rooms we spend about 6 years of theory and 6 week of practical in whole school life. For me it is definitely that is not even close enough to good enough. It has to more like 3 year theory and 3 year practical, a mixture of both.then the education will have a purpose, then only the student will start to think by himself!!

This is just my view, i don’t know many may dis agree..but its my blog and my views!! simple as that!

my dearest

Like many other, for me too after my parents my friends are my biggest asset . My dear friends, without talking about them my blog is never complete, no i am not complete!

As a student from school days many came to life, became close, and some went away, no heart feelings its the way it work out. But some , mainly from my plus one and plus two life period, they all are special. Two years the best of time in life so far definitely. I don’t want to put their names.. it will cause some problems( secret!!!).

The freedom to comment on anything, the freedom to take anything as his as mine, the freedom to say anything, the freedom to be friend! This is really the best part of life. There is a saying that says ‘It doesn’t matter how many friends you have, just need one that help you when you need it’. Ha! i am sure there will be a definitely many hands to help me. That too without asking , ya! same all story ! like all famous friends stories! But i must say my friends are the best, i don’t care if you object, my blog, my wish, my word…

Best and worst

When i stated blogging i was too young. I had no idea what to write. Had every content ,every bit of information in here. But it was long time ago. I had to stop in the middle. I think my last post was some where in 2008 . Yes, almost more than one year past. One main reason was for joining my college, then i sort of lost my interest in writing. why you may ask? thats what i am going to write.

I don’t think i can write full description as i can’t take my story into someone else personal life. Still i have to open my mind. I had my best time in my life in my plus one, plus two class. This is not just because i enjoyed or because of just had fun. I had friends, like never before, one that cares, and never hesitate to point out my mistakes. And they gave me those writes too. Being with people who love you is the best time. I enjoyed it. then like everything in this universe, once it start, it must end. It came to end. The farewell was very sad moment, but even that moment i had strongly written in my mind that the bond between my friends will never brake. As far as now i can say its been true literally .

I had never tried to imitate any person in my life , have tried to bring some important habits from some people, as natural most from my dad. One important thing i got some where in very small age is be myself and true to yourself. May be one causing me most of the problems. What is this much big problem causing this 18 year old. It is never a problem, i just think it effects me. I am here it explain just how to handle a problem, not to cry about it!

I had a real best friend ,i liked her very much and i know she did the same. I am not talking about silly romance , this is true friendship. I used to talk to her in regular basics, may be because of immaturity i soon started to take over freedom with her. I started to talk all the rubbish with her. It never bothered me how she is feeling hearing all those things. Some times she had told me to stop, ha! where the little genius never stopped. And she, being best friend  didn’t had the heart to hurt me and to stop this nonsense! There was the problem, it grew! Suddenly one day it broke out, i had to stop not only my words, also my friendship. In the beginning i was finding it hard to find my mistake. Ya! This is very interesting part if you ask your brain what wrong ‘ i do’, it will say none! I really got tarred a part in this problems. Of cause somehow with help of some friends i come over it. And for some reason i just started to think through her eyes and the whole thing seem very easy to understand. ok! i understood my problem, i want to correct it. but how?

but this is changed for school student’s ..

“Every book  continues to be in it’s state of rest or covered with dust, untill and unless an external or internal exams appears!!”

lol!

Education

Education developed from the human struggle for survival and enlightenment. It may be formal or informal. Informal education refers to the general social process by which human beings acquire the knowledge and skills needed to function in their culture. Formal education refers to the process by which teachers instruct students in courses of study within institutions.
Before the invention of reading and writing, people lived in an environment in which they struggled to survive against natural forces, animals, and other humans. To survive, preliterate people developed skills that grew into cultural and educational patterns. For a particular group’s culture to continue into the future, people had to transmit it, or pass it on, from adults to children. The earliest educational processes involved sharing information about gathering food and providing shelter; making weapons and other tools; learning language; and acquiring the values, behavior, and religious rites or practices of a given culture.
Through direct, informal education, parents, elders, and priests taught children the skills and roles they would need as adults. These lessons eventually formed the moral codes that governed behavior. Since they lived before the invention of writing, preliterate people used an oral tradition, or story telling, to pass on their culture and history from one generation to the next. By using language, people learned to create and use symbols, words, or signs to express their ideas. When these symbols grew into pictographs and letters, human beings created a written language and made the great cultural leap to literacy.
Learning, acquiring knowledge or developing the ability to perform new behaviors. It is common to think of learning as something that takes place in school, but much of human learning occurs outside the classroom, and people continue to learn throughout their lives.
Even before they enter school, young children learn to walk, to talk, and to use their hands to manipulate toys, food, and other objects. They use all of their senses to learn about the sights, sounds, tastes, and smells in their environments. They learn how to interact with their parents, siblings, friends, and other people important to their world. When they enter school, children learn basic academic subjects such as reading, writing, and mathematics. They also continue to learn a great deal outside the classroom. They learn which behaviors are likely to be rewarded and which are likely to be punished. They learn social skills for interacting with other children. After they finish school, people must learn to adapt to the many major changes that affect their lives, such as getting married, raising children, and finding and keeping a job.
Because learning continues throughout our lives and affects almost everything we do, the study of learning is important in many different fields. Teachers need to understand the best ways to educate children. Psychologists, social workers, criminologists, and other human-service workers need to understand how certain experiences change people’s behaviors. Employers, politicians, and advertisers make use of the principles of learning to influence the behavior of workers, voters, and consumers.
“Education is what survives when what has been learned has been forgotten.” -B. F. SKINNER
Learning is closely related to memory, which is the storage of information in the brain. Psychologists who study memory are interested in how the brain stores knowledge, where this storage takes place, and how the brain later retrieves knowledge when we need it. In contrast, psychologists who study learning are more interested in behavior and how behavior changes as a result of a person’s experiences.
There are many forms of learning, ranging from simple to complex. Simple forms of learning involve a single stimulus. A stimulus is anything perceptible to the senses, such as a sight, sound, smell, touch, or taste. In a form of learning known as classical conditioning, people learn to associate two stimuli that occur in sequence, such as lightning followed by thunder. In operant conditioning, people learn by forming an association between a behavior and its consequences (reward or punishment). People and animals can also learn by observation—that is, by watching others perform behaviors. More complex forms of learning include learning languages, concepts, and motor skills.
The 20th century has also been marked by the emergence of national school systems among developing nations, particularly in Asia and Africa. Compulsory elementary education has become nearly universal, but evidence indicates that large numbers of children—perhaps as many as 50 percent of those age 6 to 18 throughout the world—do not attend school. Our worlds have so much to achieve for that each individual could make a difference. Many institutes and organization is trying their best to and educated Earth for tomorrow. This news has reached the ears of many and it has been effective. Remember when you study in descent facilities there are ambition’s of lot of youngsters on your shoulders and it is your duty to make up to their misfortunes and make best of the opportunities you got. Education is an admirable thing, but it is well to remember from time to time that nothing that is worth knowing can be taught.

“Desire for approval and recognition is a healthy motive but the desire to be acknowledged as better, stronger or more intelligent than a fellow being or fellow scholar easily leads to an excessively egoistic psychological adjustment, which may become injurious for the individual and for the community.” ALBERT EINSTEIN

LIFE IN THE SLOW LANE Ans(0.00025)

Did you hear the one about the astronaut who got younger on his space flight? While this sounds like a joke, it also happens to be true! Time slows down when traveling at great speed in space, so space travelers age more slowly than they do on Earth. Albert Einstein figured this out in 1905, long before we started flying in space.

Einstein knew the speed of light never changes: it is constant. This means light always travel at 186,000 miles (299,329km) per second. Time, however, is relative said Einstein. It can change. It changes according to the speed of what is measuring it. The faster the speed, the slower time passes. In fact, a very accurate clock aboard a space shuttle was measured after its return to Earth: it lost 0.000,000,000,295 seconds for each second of the trip. Now, this is a very tiny amount to lose, but it proved Einstein’s theory. If the shuttle had been traveling near the speed of light and had been gone for several years, the time loss would have been bigger. So, if you went on a very long space trip and your spacecraft could travel close to 186,000 miles per second, you’d be younger than your current same-age friends when you returned to Earth!

<img src=”http://files.adbrite.com/mb/images/125×125-1-blue.gif” border=”0″></a>

Can you figure out how much younger an astronaut aboard a shuttle would be if he lost 0.000,000,000,295 second of a10-day trip?

Found it check the answer with the correct answer given with heading.
